Thinking about introducing Syno's

PostAuthor: catwoman » Tue Nov 22, 2011 05:37

I used to have a lovely lil syno which I gave to my cousin because it was alway's interrupting my Mbuna when they spawned, I really miss him & loved watching his behaviour..........

so now that I am no longer keeping all the fry from my Mbuna I have been thinking of introducing a small group of Syno's to my 5ft & possibly my 6ft tank's

I have been reading up on different Syno specie's & think Njasse sound amazing & the best suited to Malwi set up's :)

I would be very graetful for advise from all that keep & have kept Syno Njasse with their Malawi fishes

my main question's at the moment are....

what would be the best sized group for my sized tank's ?

what is the average price for these cat's ?

are they easy to get hold of ?

Thankyou in advance :D

No you dont,trust me :lmao:

Ive got synos,probably hybrids,but I dont care.
I have no interest to breed,so makes no odds to me.
They are stunning fish :thumbs-up:
They keep on top of the breeding, however,I have had fry survive in the main tank,so its not totally wiped out the breeding.
They just reduce the number of eggs the mums hold.
In a way its good,as she can still feed :good:
It adds variety to the tank :good:
There is no such thing as a peaceful mbuna. They are all 2 faced moody sods!

I have 4 in my 5ft and want more.

The Njassae are by far the best Syno's and Terry is right, £25 for Wilds is a good price, very hard to come by. I got one at the last meet up we all went to and only managed to get the other 3 this weekend!!!

Deffo get them Vic. I know you love your feline Cats but these fishy cats will keep you happy too!!
