Wild adult male long pelvic galaria

PostAuthor: johno1977 » Fri Jan 17, 2014 17:54

Hi can anyone please help?

I've just purchased a pair of wild long pelvic galaria from mike rifts in Kent.

I have put the pair in my tank and noticed the adult male 5" has like a tongue or tissue in the mouth, pops in and out. More noticeable while they is rapid gill movement, just getting use to my water, which is causing rapid gill movement.
Is this normal for the fish to have a tongue?, I've have never come across it

You will have to open a photobucket account or similar and upload your photos to there, then click on the photo you want to use and copy the IMG code and paste it into your post :good:

Hope this helps
cheers,

It's not one of those things that attach to the younger and that start eating the fish by eating there food! I thnk that's what ideas somewhere before, they look nasty!!

Hope it's not one of those!!!

No thank god, its not a parasite. It is a growth in the mouth, I think. Doesnt seem to effect him, eat well swimming around etc.
